$ 40.00

"Taking Risks, Maximizing Opportunities, and Giving Back" with Joanna King

Monday, September 18
8:00 am-10:30 am
Anna's Bread, Goshen

Joanna King is our guest speaker for our next event. Joanna owns several businesses including JoJo's Pretzels, The Cinnamon Stick, and Sara Davis, Ltd. She will share some their business experiences and the Fire of 2004.

Joanna King
Joanna started her first business at 21 years of age and opened her first store when she was 22. With only $5,000 JoJo's Pretzels was opened in the fall of 1989.  Since then, the King family has sold over 2 million pretzels to guests from all over the world in their flagship store in Shipshewana.  By 1994 they began opening other retail stores. Today they own 6 small retail stores. Joanna is married to Levi King; they have four children.  Joanna serves as the Vice President of the Middlebury School Board, the President of the Middlebury Boys & Girls Club Board, the Co-Chair of the Goshen Theater "Next Act" Capital Campaign, and the stewardship team at Maple City Chapel.  Joanna ran for Indiana State Senate in 2016 and continues to be an advocate for families, businesses and education issues throughout this region.

Goshen Women's Mastermind exists to bring women entrepreneurs, artists and changemakers together in a safe setting to get to know one another on a deep level. Attendees will leave feeling inspired and energized with new friends on similar paths. This event is more about developing new relationships and personal development rather than drumming up new business.

These events are a unique way to meet other creative go-getters in a nontraditional networking event. Avoid painful small talk and engage in meaningful conversations with women in the Goshen area doing amazing things!

We are excited to hear Joanna's story and see how we can apply what we learn to our own businesses.

Early Bird Pricing $29 until September 6th.
$40 per person after September 6th.

Early bird pricing is available through September 6th. Please invite other women that you think would enjoy and contribute to this event.

Prepping for the Event

Please arrive on time and ready to go at 8 am.
A continental breakfast buffet prepared by Anna's bread with plenty of coffee and tea is provided in the ticket price.

While this is an unconventional networking event, you'll probably still want to bring your business cards along. You'll also want to bring a notebook for all of the ideas that will be swimming in your head as everyone contributes to the conversation.

Doors open at 7:45 am and we'll start promptly at 8:00.

We'll have coffee, tea, and a light breakfast of baked goodies, fruit, yogurt, and granola. Grab your food and beverage and find a seat. I recommend sitting with at least a few people that you don't know very well to get the most out of the event.

Click on over to the KindredMinds Facebook event page and introduce yourself to the group so we can get an idea of who is coming.
